“A Day With David Middleton” Sunday, November 16th.

“A Day With David Middleton” Sunday, November 16th.

Shooters Gallery Photography Group
We’re happy to be welcoming David back for another full-day seminar on Sunday, November 16th.

During this seminar David’s focus will be, in part, on his travels to Uganda. His images from Uganda are aimed at telling the story of the living conditions and desperation of many of the people living there. David’s will share his techniques, along with technical information, which will help you better capture the true feeling of a location during your travels.

The afternoon of David’s visit will be a critiquing session during which everyone will have the chance to have at least one of their images “discussed”. David is known for his excellent, lively critiques which are an excellent opportunity for learning how to better your photography.

Here is the schedule for the day:
8:00am: Doors open for check-in
9:00am-10:00am: “Uganda – Photographing the Good, the Bad the Desperate”
10:10am-11:00am: Uganda – Behind the Scenes”

David Middleton is a nationally recognized professional nature photographer, writer and naturalist. His philosophy is to photograph whatever he finds attractive and then think about trying to sell it. This has led him to photograph subjects and places as disparate as harbors, wildflower meadows, large mammals, small birds, forests, quaint villages, indigenous markets and people and mountain streams.

David has produced 10 books including: Ancient Forests, The New Key to Ecuador and the Galapagos, Prayers through the Seasons, American Vision, The Nature of America, the largest nature photography book project ever undertaken, which he created, co-directed, contributed photographs to and wrote. His new books are The Nature of Vermont and The Photographer’s Guide to Vermont, The Photographer’s Guide to the Maine Coast and The Photographer’s Guide to the Oregon Coast all published by The Countryman Press a division of W.W. Norton.
