“The World of Click, Click, Click: Improving Your Amateur Daylily Photography Skills”


Love daylilies?  Enjoy taking photos of beautiful flowers? If you would like to learn how to capture the beauty of your own garden or the gardens you visit, you are invited to meet Julie Covington of Roanoke, Virginia as she presents her program entitled “The World of Click, Click, Click: Improving Your Amateur Daylily Photography Skills” on Saturday, September 8 in Avon, CT.

This free event is presented by the CT Daylily Society and is open to the public. 
Julie Covington is the current President of the American Hemerocallis Society, a national organization of nearly 8,000 U.S. and international members.  

The American Hemerocallis Society, Inc. (AHS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1946 organized exclusively for educational and scientific purposes, and especially to promote, encourage, and foster the development and improvement of the genus Hemerocallis.   

Ms. Covington’s daylily photographs have enhanced the Daylily Journal and the AHS website for many years.  Ms. Covington will speak at the Avon Senior Center, 635 West Avon Road,(Rt. 167) in  Avon, CT.  The Avon Senior Center is located at the Sycamore Hills Recreation Center at the junction of Sycamore and Scoville Roads and conveniently located between Farmington Avenue (Rt. 4) and Rt. 44.

The event will begin with a social hour from noon until 1:00.  Ms. Covington’s program will follow a brief business meeting beginning at 1:00.
