Photograph Birds of Prey


Photo sessions are scheduled every hour on the hour. Each session will last approximately 45 to 50 minutes, and will permit photos in a natural setting of four different raptors (hawks, owls or falcons).
Location:
Nature Visions Expo, Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10900 University Blvd, Manassas, Va. 20110 George Mason University, Prince William Campus (Phone: 703-993-7550).
The photo sessions will take place just outside of the Hylton Performing Arts Center.



Description:
Raptor Conservancy of Virginia (RCV) handlers will have 8 different hawks, owls and falcons available for photography in a natural outdoor setting outside of the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Alternate hourly sessions will each feature four of these raptors, shown two at a time by two handlers, with birds available for approximately 25 minutes per session. Each session is limited to 15 photographers.











Cost/Tickets:
$25 per person. Tickets can be purchased online through the RCV. Some additional tickets may be available at the event. If you buy your ticket for the Raptor shoot online, your ticket will only provide you access to the bird shoot and will not provide access to the Nature Visions Expo. Tickets will also be sold at the event. You MUST check-in at the RCV table before proceeding to your photo shoot.

The Raptor Conservancy of Virginia is a 100%-volunteer organization dedicated to rehabilitation and release of injured, ill, or orphaned birds of prey (raptors) and education of the public about raptors and the preservation of their habitat. All funds received will go for the upkeep and care of RCV raptor patients and resident birds.
