Join acclaimed photographers Richard Bernabe and Jerry Greer for an instructional winter workshop and tour of eastern North Carolina and the Outer Banks. This four-day workshop focuses on the landscapes and winter wildlife of Pocosin Lakes and Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuges as well as the Outer Banks. Days One and Two - After arriving on January 27 for dinner and an orientation, we rise early the next morning and capture sunrise at Lake Mattamuskeet. The next two days will be spent capturing intimate landscapes, mammals, wading birds, and migrating waterfowl in the Wildlife Refuges of Pocosin Lakes and Mattamuskeet. Days Three and Four - Next, we move on to Nags Head on the Outer Banks where we will take in the long stretches of lonely beaches and coastal wildlife. Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, the giant sand dunes of Jockey Ridge, and Currituck will all be locations visited on days three and four. Many more options are possible and the exact locations will depend on the weather and available light. January 30 is a full moon, so there will be moon rise and moon set images as well.
