It's time to start thinking of this year's North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy "Festival of Angels" on the North Haven green (August 21st and 22nd)...and that means it's time to break out your Italian photos, or digital image enlargements and have them displayed in our cultural tent.
It is the 3rd annual photo contest for our festival, and I know some of you out there have worthy photos to submit (how can you not...Italy is so beautiful!!) We again will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbon winners, as well as a Lodge Honorable mention. Ribbon winners will be determined by the highest points scored in various elements of the photo (see attached rules).
Professional judging will be done by Castiglione Photography, Storytellers Photography, and Kathy McGarry Photography. All photos submitted meeting the guidelines will be on display for the entire festival. Laura and Bob Parisi are available to answer any of your questions. raparisi@hotmail.com

Simply stated, a photo can be any size but you must mount it (put a backing behind it), and place it in a mat size 11x14 (any color of your choosing that will complement your photo, easily obtained at Michaels, Jo-Ann's Fabrics or similar place). WE will put all photos in black 11x 14 frames for display at the festival. Bring your entry to us with the nominal application fee by August 8th, and you're good to go! Help us spread the beauty of Italy, or Italian inspired activities here at home, to the expected 40,000 Italians, and Italian-lovers we expect at the festival! See you at the festival- Ciao!!
