Join the CT Chapter of the ASMP (American Society of Media
Photographers) as they host guest speaker Vincent Laforet on Monday
October 21st at Yale to discuss his prolific career as a pioneering
still and video photographer.
Vincent will talk about his transition from editorial photographer with
publications such as The New York Times, Life, Time, National
Geographic to a commercial still and video photographer, now working for
clients such as Sony, Adobe, Pepsi & Reebok. He will also touch
upon current trends in the market in terms of social media, the internet
and new digital technology and equipment he uses.
Vincent
is a three-time winner at the prestigious 2010 Cannes Lions
International Advertising Festival and his short film Reverie, the first
1080p video shot with a still camera, was seen more than 2 million
times in its first week of release in 2009. Vincent's blog attracts more
than 3,000,000 visitors each year. He is highly sought after as a
consultant and a keynote speaker. He has been profiled on CNN and Good
Morning America and in dozens of publications. He has served as an
adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism
and at the International Center of Photography. Finally, he is one of
