Join our photography workshop in stunning Vermont and New Hampshire. People come from all over the world to see the incomparable foliage of northern New England. The riot of colors against the deep green conifers, along with quaint New England villages, farms, and covered bridges, make great subject matter. We'll take in little-known locations that are favorites of The Barefoot Contessa, a native of this area.

Because of Margo's long-time, intimate knowledge of northern New Englnd, we'll have some great locations all to ourselves, and you'll be able to celebrate your passion for photography, hone your seeing and imaging skills, and learn about the magic of light to make wonderful photographs.
We'll be based near Dartmouth College in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley on either side of the border between central New Hampshire and Vermont.

You'll discover covered bridges, a staple of this part of the country. Some are red, some weathered barn board, and all carry their own characteristics.

Northern New England is also a geological treasure trove. For the initiated, you will recognize many features that you have studied — moraines, upheavals, intrusions, even rare granite that is usually hidden deep in the core of a mountain. For others, you will find that the varied landscape will be interesting subject matter to photograph.

Scouting Option:

For those who want more time with Margo and Arnie, we offer the opportunity to scout and shoot with them before most of our domestic workshops. We limit this to two people per day who ride in the car with the instructors. During these days, there is lots of one-to-one instruciton while Arnie and Margo do their own photography and final scouting for the workshop.

Some of our participants like to come in a day ahead and get some added instruction on Lightroom.
