The Instrument of Photographic Communication

YOU ARE INVITED TO AN EVENING WITH Shiv Verma, MNEC
at Charter Oak Photographic Society, Inc. Elmwood Community Church
26 Newington Road, West Hartford, CT Sponsored by: Hunt’s Photo & Video

On Monday, May 18, 2009, Shiv Verma will be presenting his program “The Instrument of
Photographic Communication” at Charter Oak Photographic Society, Inc. We would like
to take this opportunity to invite you, your camera club, and friends to come and be our
guest. Our meetings begin at 7:15 p.m. SHARP!
The visual content of an image can most times be defined as “limited” in visual
communication. The typical reason is that a photographer does not identify why he/she
wants to capture an image and, how should the image be composed. This program is
designed to develop a thought process with clear visual focus that will generate a well
composed image. The resulting image(s) are ones that will communicate in the language of
the visual arts, the language called “composition”.

Join use for this enlightening program…

expressed in words.”
