Bobbi Lane workshops

Bobbi was at NECCC and her program was well received. Tom went to her flash workshop last year and enjoyed himself.

There is a lot of exciting news and developments from the Bobbi Lane Workshops that are coming up in the next six months. First, I am in a new studio in Wilton, CT that has great window light as well as 1200 sq. ft. of space. The workshops will be run out of both the Wilton Studio and Third Rail Studio in Fairfield. They are only about 12 miles apart, so it's still the same general area in Fairfield County. The Wilton Studio, like Fairfield, is conveniently located near the train station, so it's easy to get here from Manhattan.

This year the workshops are expanding to bring in talented instructors. As you know, I am dedicated to photo education and bringing real world experience to the students. The instructors I have personally invited are all professional photographers who are also excellent educators. They include Robert Meyer (Fashion and Beauty, Posing and Directing with Bobbi Lane, Lighting Fundamentals), Alan Thornton (Business of Photography, Location Portraits), Eduardo Angel, (Lightroom Workflow: Shoot it, Work it, Save it) David Wells (Stock, Light Studies), Pauline St. Dennis (Wedding Photography) Carol Dragon (Adobe Camera Raw, Mastering your Digital SLR) and Bill Sumner (Travel Photography). I will be teaching Flash Class I and II, Portrait Lighting Intensive, Posing and Directing with Robert Meyer, Business of Photography with Alan Thornton, Portraits Unplugged, Creative Portrait Lighting, Lensbaby and Creativity & the Art of Seeing. We will also have a portfolio review day with a !
panel of photographers. The full list of classes and dates aren't confirmed yet, but will be soon, so be on the lookout for the next email. The great features of these workshops is that they are hands-on with plenty of shooting time, and include follow up critique from the master photographers.

Right now we have the Flash Class I and II scheduled for Feb. 14 and 15.

These two classes, taken individually or together, give a kick start in finally controlling and understanding how to manipulate your portable flash to get great light.

The next workshop scheduled is Eduardo Angel's "Lightroom Workflow: Shoot it, Work it, Save it". It will be Feb. 28 and March 1. Eduardo is the digital tech genius at Calumet Photo in NYC and he has experience with studio and location lighting, color management, RAW workflow, wide format printing, and all the major professional digital manipulation and shooting applications. This workshop is one that we all need!

Both workshops are held at the Wilton Studio. I will have the full schedule on the website shortly and I'll send another email when it's up.

I'm looking forward to working with you this year and helping you achieve your personal photography goals. And we will have fun!
Best wishes, Bobbi
