All Cape Cod workshops begin Thursday afternoon with a get together and a sunset shoot, and end Sunday morning, after a sunrise shoot, and a wrap up breakfast. We will be going out for sunrise/morning and sunset/evening shoots on Friday and Saturday as well. During the day, I will critique some of your chosen photos, and go over different techniques, etc. This is a general itinerary. Each day’s schedule varies due to the location we visit that day, how long we shoot, and it can change depending on the weather.
We will be based in Provincetown, on the tip of Cape Cod. We will be photographing in the dunes, national seashore, light houses, beaches, harbor…. capturing wonderful reflections. Provincetown has an active working harbor, and can be very interesting at sunrise. This is a great place to photograph and explore the small New England houses and gardens, capturing windows and doorways. Of course the people and many characters of town are wonderful subjects.

One of the goals of this workshop is to guide you to make photographs with more impact. We will help you to develop your photographic vision. We’ll cover the quality of natural light, color, visual depth, visual design, and composition in landscape and close up technique. You will learn how to creatively photograph using different techniques and lenses, and we will be teaching HDR (high Dynamic range), how to use Lensbaby lenses, with Nikon and Canon Lensbaby loaners, creative camera movement, and more. We encourage you to read your manual, and know how to use your camera when you get to the workshop. This will help you move forward with creativity and vision.
Jeff has been living and photographing at the tip of Cape Cod for about 30 years. Many of his award winning images, have been featured in magazines, and articles over the years.

Participants usually stay at the Lotus Guest House in Provincetown, where wokshop attendees receive a lodging discount.  Deposit information at the bottom of this page.
