Thanks to checking spaceweather.com at 2am tonight and seeing a kp level of 5, I ran out to a local pond to witness this aurora (colors un-enhanced) over Whiteface Mt reflecting in Connery Pond, Adirondack Mountains, New York State. I'm looking forward to another season upcoming photographing the northern lights and leading tours in Iceland, but it turns out I didn't have to wait till this winter! |
