How to find the Milky Way using Stellarium

How to find the Milky Way using Stellarium

"Stellarium is a great piece planetarium software for the beginner night photographer, why is it so great? Because it's free! Stellarium accurately shows what the night skies will look like at specific date and time, which is critical information when planning a shoot. There is one problem I had to look long and hard to find a solution for though; the milky was too dim. Stellarium shows what the milky way looks like to the human eye. What humans see versus what cameras see is drastically different. This is because cameras are collecting light over a period of time (20-30 seconds for example), and that light is all combined into one image."
