Spring Open House & Aviary Tours! Don't miss this year's Spring Aviary Tours!
Stop by to meet Sassy our Screech Owl, visit your favorite raptor, and enjoy some light refreshments. No reservations needed.
Tours this year are at the following times:
Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th from 1-4pm
Tour donations this year are: Adults $7.00 Children 2-18 years $5.00
Proceeds are used for the care and feeding of the birds
Directions to Wind Over Wings for Aviary Tours
Coming on I-95:
Take exit 64 (Horse Hill Road/Route 145).If you are coming from the New Haven direction, turn right at the end of the exit. If you are coming from the New London direction, turn left at the end of the exit. Directly ahead of you will be a blinking, red light. Turn right (Route 145 turns with you.) Go 1.5 miles. On your right will be a sign reading, "Shoreline Gardens". *Turn DIRECTLY INTO their driveway. We share their driveway. Go up the hill, into the private drive. Pass a house with a long fence. You will see Hope Douglas' log cabin and the Wind Over Wings' sign as well as the aviaries.
Coming from Route 9:
Take exit 9 (Route 81) and turn right. Continue for about 15 miles, passing over I-95 to the light at Routes 81 and Route 1 (Main Street). Turn left. Pass the light at the Clinton Post Office. At the second light (Route 145) turn left. Go .25 of a mile. On your left will be a sign reading "Shoreline Gardens". See * above.
