Hi Folks,
The Ian Plant Seminar sponsored by Charter Oak Photographic Society and Hunt's Photo & Video has been rescheduled for April 13, 2013 at Trinity-on-Main Cultural Center in New Britain, CT.
A flyer is attached.  Please forward the flyer to anyone you think might be interested.  Also we would appreciate it if you would mention it at future club meetings, if you are a club member.  We hope to have a good turnout for Ian.
Best,
Audrey

A full-time professional nature photographer, writer, and adventurer, Ian Plant has been photographing our natural world for almost twenty years. Ian travels the world in order to find rare convergences of light, composition, mood, and moment, looking to transcend mere scenery to produce a compelling view of his nature subjects. His photographs and instructional articles have appeared in a number of books, calendars, and magazines, including Outdoor Photographer, Popular Photography, Le Monde de
la Photo, Nature Photographers Online Magazine, National Parks, Common Ground, Blue Ridge Country, Adirondack Life, Wonderful West Virginia, and Chesapeake Life, among others. Ian also writes a regular blog column for Outdoor Photographer online.
Ian's mission is to educate, inspire, and entertain others in the art of nature  hotography. To that end, Ian launched the Dreamscapes photoblog, which is now a collaborative blog involving several other professional photographers. To see more of
his work, visit his web site at: www.ianplant.com.

Morning presentation

Chasing the Light: Field Techniques for Making Great Nature Photographs - Light is to photography as paint is to a painter: without light, our art would never progress beyond mere blank canvasses, unrealized potential never brought to life. Professional
nature photographer Ian Plant will share his years of field experience chasing the light and trying to find the right combination of color, light, mood, and composition to bring his nature subjects to their fullest expression.

Afternoon Presentation
Optimizing the Light: Digital Darkroom Techniques for Bringing Your Photos to Their Fullest Potential - Once you've captured the light in the field, it is important to optimize your photos during the digital processing phase to bring them to their fullest
potential. Ian will discuss a number of techniques that are part of his personal digital darkroom workflow for unlocking the magic contained with the digital raw file.
