INTERPRETIVE MACRO FLOWERS WORKSHOP
LONGWOOD GARDENS, PENNSYLVANIA
JUNE 4 – 7, 2013
Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania is renown for its beautifully maintained gardens, both indoors and out. A profusion of different species excite the eye and simulate creativity including, orchids, water lilies, fuchsia, iris, ferns, and many more. In this Interpretive Macro Workshop we will stretch your creativity and help you tap into your artistic soul. You will learn how to photograph flowers from a variety of angles in both bright sunlight and soft shade. We begin in the classroom with instructional tips and then proceed to the gardens to put into practice all that you have learned. We will demonstrate how to photograph flowers without a tripod to enhance your creative output. Each day ends in the evening with a critique of the day’s images.
Here is what others have said about this workshop:
“Of all the photo trips and clinics I have attended, Mollie and Mary’s Awake The Light stands well above the rest. They set a very high standard for teaching, encouragement, insight, tips and techniques, and gently challenge you to try new skills. I learned more in the first 3 hours with them than in the 2 years since I started photography! They devote all their time to attendees, circulating to see who needs input, offering suggestions, defusing frustrations with different techniques–but they are also wonderful at knowing when to let you just go shoot. I highly recommend their Macro Clinic–it has opened up an entire new world of ‘microscapes’ that are challenging to capture but are ASTOUNDINGLY rewarding!” Ginger
“Awake The Light hosts the best workshops you can imagine. Not only will you learn lots but you will have fun doing it and see some great venues for photography. Mollie and Mary answer all your photography questions and really help you get the most out of your camera. They are entertaining educators who work hard to help their students achieve spectacular results. Looking forward to more!” Debbie
ITINERARY: The workshop begins with a Welcome and Orientation session on the first evening, including an informal, instructional session on the many creative ways to approach Macro photography. We will cover all the tools and techniques needed to help you expand your Macro skills. Each of the following days will be spent at Longwood Gardens with two instructors by your side helping you create the flower images you have always wanted. The day ends with a nightly image review where we gently offer suggestions on how best to improve while you are still on location.

Lisa, Thank you for this endorsement. I don't know what we did to deserve such attention, but we greatly appreciate it. Audrey, Ollie, and Cindy told us about your blog and reference to our Interpretive Macro Workshop. Thank you.
