If all you did for the next three months is concentrate on shooting one of the four following elements of design, LINE, TEXTURE, COLOR or PATTERN, your artistic vision would reach new heights-guaranteed! BUT if you really want your vision to soar then consider "flipping the many abstract images that will result from the pursuit of seeking out compositions that are limited to the strong design elements mentioned above.

PhotoShop; Image>Image Rotation, which in turn often reveals even more possibilities for strikingly graphic images.

You don't have to decide which one you like the best; in fact you can like both and saving either is a snap too since all you need to do is choose SAVE AS for each one and add a single letter or number to the file name. Once you flip an image twice, three times or, heck, six or eight times (including inversing it) consider joining all of them via the Canvas Tool into a single image and really let the fun begin!

As my many students will attest from their weekly critiques, 'flipping' an image is often an idea they had never considered, but in doing so, it actually took their shot to that much higher level that we all aspire towards.
