This two-day class provides a beginning-to-end understanding of the master photographic process, and is recommended for anyone from the advanced amateur to the professional shooter.Photographers in the digital age often rely on the advanced technologies in their digital cameras in order to capture good looking images, but the fundamentals from the days of film are not only important, they're more crucial than ever.
Join instructors and photographers from HP, Profoto, SanDisk, Sekonic, Pocket Wizard, Eizo, Nik Software, LiveBooks, Drobo, Leaf and Mamiya, and the master instructors of the Aperture Users Network as they lead you through all the steps needed to capture the best looking images possible.Enrollment in this conference will provide you with access to a wealth of hands-on and demonstration style sessions across two-days of presentations.
You'll be able to pick and choose the classes that fit for you, spend time talking to instructors and photographers about your workflow, and hearing about the latest techniques and photographic practices. The courses will be repeated across both days, so you can drill down on important areas and focus on your workflow.Each day you'll have access to a mix of hands-on instruction and demonstrations, the multi-station setup will give you instruction in the key phases of the photographic workflow.
Over the course of two days you'll learn how to:
* Use a light meter to determine the correct exposure for any scene.
* Correctly manage color between devices for perfect image editing and review.
* Create basic and advanced lighting setups in the studio and in the field.
* Remotely trigger and control cameras and lighting.
* Transfer images as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* Keyword and caption your images for faster retrieval.
* Edit and adjust your images to match your creative eye.
* Store and archiving your photos and data for permanence.
* Create an online presence, and deliver images to clients.
* Producing perfect printed output from your images.
In addition to our technical classes, photographer Lucas Gillman, who has travelled the world shooting for clients such as Nike, ESPN, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Patagonia and many more will also provide seminars in location lighting and seminars in developing a personal and professional creative vision.Students are encouraged to bring their camera gear for hands-on work with the various in-studio photographic gear, and to test the techniques provided.
