After wrapping up some outside work I needed to get done while the weather was still warm, I've gotten back into setting up some of the new workshop web pages. We have set workshop dates for 2012, although I still need to get final information together for a couple of the new listings. Check the full list for 2012 at

I recently scheduled a 'Photography Camp' with Gore Mountain. The day will feature a morning PowerPoint program on camera basics, composition, lighting, and various camera techniques. After lunch we'll work with various photography techniques in the field. Included in the day is a gondola ride so we can photograph the views from the top of Bear Mountain. Info is on the web at http://www.carlheilman.com/photo_workshop_gore.html
We still have a few spaces left for our 5 day High Peaks workshop that I do each year for the Adirondack Photography Institute. We do a little hiking to get to a couple of the destinations, but most of the shooting locations are close to the roads. While there is time spent each day for instruction and critique, most of the day is out in the field, going to a variety of shooting locations in the Lake Placid / Keene / Wilmington area.
