One day workshops are limited in size to 6 particpants for individual attention (except for Wild Center workshops).
Advanced Outdoor Photography Workshops are an 8 hour day with a couple of hours of instruction and several hours of photography. Topics will cover various aspects of photography such as --- Wide Angle Landscapes, Panoramas, and Depth of Field --- Creative PhotographyTechniques --Understanding the Weather --- Creating a Sense of Place.
Adirondack Nature Photography Tours are one day photo shoots spent entirely in the field. In addition to brief group discussion, Carl will give individual attention for questions and critique throughout the 8 - 10 hour day.
Both Advanced Workshops and Photo Tours are for intermediate and advanced photographers who are comfortable with camera mechanics and techniques - including aperture / shutter / ISO settings / depth of field. One day photo tours and advanced workshops are limited to 6 partcipants for personal attention and to be less intrusive at photo locations.
Digital Photography / Photoshop Weekend Workshops are for all levels of photographers and offer instruction on the complete digital workflow from image creation to presentation. Subjects covered include shooting for Photoshop, Photoshop basics and tricks, databases, digital camera basics, menus, settings, photo composition and lighting, lenses, depth of field, panoramas, stitching, and presentation.
The Four and Five Day Outdoor Photography Workshops include a mix of comprehensive instruction, critiques, and photography shoots - and allow you to completely immerse yourself in nature photography and photo techniques in unique natural settings. We are doing a 5 day workshop in Acadia National Park on the spectacular Maine Coast, and we are also doing a 4 day fall workshop in the Adirondack High Peaks.
We offer several different Photoshop for Photographers and Artists Workshops. These include a variety of 'digital darkroom' classes for all levels of Photoshop users. Photoshop workshops are limited to 3 persons each and are based in the Wild Visions, Inc.office at Carl's home in Brant Lake, NY in the southeastern corner of the Adirondack Park.

He has also done workshops for the The Wild Center, the Adirondack Photography Institute, NANPA, the Adirondack Mountain Club, Adirondack Life, the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, the Lake George Association, and the Lower Adirondack Region Arts Council. His photography has been used by publications and businesses around the world. His AV programs have aired on regional PBS stations, and he was interviewed for the May 2008 national PBS special, 'The Adirondacks'.
