TV segment of Iceland for the Martha Stewart Show by Lisa Keller.

Hi Lisa -

Just wanted to share this with everyone.
Back in April I had been asked to take some video of Icelandic horses for an upcoming TV segment of Iceland for the Martha Stewart Show. The TVshow ran yesterday on The Hallmark Channel.

For the tv show, I had video taped the following clips:
Martha Stewart riding an Icelandic Horse around a  nearby park and on her property.
I also showed various riders at different locations displaying the different types of gate (speed) of the horses.
And last of all I showed my horse Tyja rolling around in a pen at the farm after a good days ride.

I had a lot of fun taking the video for the TV segment.

Here is the weblink to the Martha Stewart Iceland Show:

Enjoy!

Quick Tip: "CS 6? But, I just got used to CS 5!"

Quick Tip: "CS 6?  But, I just got used to CS 5!"

So, you just got used to Photoshop CS5, and there's a NEW version on the way?  Don't worry, there are some rather nice features in Adobe's soon-to-be-released Photoshop CS6 that'll make it worth the upgrade, and they're simple to implement. So, rather than a written "Quick Tip" this week, here's something I think you'll enjoy:  A short 3 minute video - this is the first in a series on "whats new" in CS6 Beta - look for more short videos in occasional future "Quick Tips".

Oh, and this is a preview of things to come with my upcoming Photoshop Video Series.  These videos will complement my Photoshop Book, chapter-by-chapter, and will be subscription-based;
you can watch online in HD at your convenience.

Like my "Quick Tips"? Then you'll love my Photoshop book - - It's designed for photographers - Available as a spiral-bound book or downloadable PDF -  Click here ...

Scott Kelby on Adobe Creative Cloud

http://scottkelby.com/2012/my-adobe-creative-cloud-quick-qa/

But before we get to the questions, I thought I would at least try to explain, in one brief paragraph, what the Creative Cloud is. Here’s how I understand it:
“It’s two things: (1) You can pay a monthly fee and get to download onto your computer, and use, full versions of all of Adobe’s Creative Suite software (everything from the latest Photoshop to After Effects to Dreamweaver to Premiere Pro, and so on [I think it’s 26 programs in all). As long as you pay your monthly membership, you get to use any (or all) of their software programs. And (2) You get a number of Web services including things like Cloud syncing, Adobe’s Business Catalyst Web hosting, storage and online collaberation stuff among others (a list of which I’m sure will grow pretty quickly).”

“The Stolen Scream” update

I posted about the scream March 2011http://www.thestolenscream.com/

I recently saw an update about it on fstoppers

"Its been a year since “The Stolen Scream” video was published here on Fstoppers- and what a crazy year it was since then. In this post I will update you on some of what happened with this story. The video was viewed over 330,000 times, and the story itself was featured in many big news outlets (Gizmodo, Time, American Photo Mag, MSNBC and others), and became a case study in many colleges around the world. Its even on Wiki now."

Selected By: Jesse Thompson

22 River St, Milford, CT (map)
41.222889 -73.056976

event held across the street at cafe atlantique

I can't wait anymore! Time to announce our 2nd Paparazzi Run. Last year was much fun and this year i'm looking for more shooters and models to fill out our field. Not only a fun time but this event is a great way of meeting your fellow meetupers and networking with aspiring shooters and models. DJ Phantastic Phil is already working on this year's mix and expect another red carpet and the cafe has a cash bar for beer, wine and coffee. We've even sprung for some munchies! This meetup is free to members

PLEASE READ THE NOTICES BELOW.

This meetup will be held weather permitting. It starts at 7pm and should run to about 8:30.

MODELS ARE NEEDED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Potential models should be men and women 18 years or older and understand thier images will be posted on the web. I encourage photographers to share their best images of the evening with the models and will have model/photog contact forms their that night to facilitate the exchange.

MODELS PLEASE RSVP AND INDICATE YOU ARE MODELING. This will help me keep track of how many models we have. Last year's models were great- dressed to the nines! I encourage all of them to come back but we need more! You don't have to be a professional model to make the run!
